Robinvale testing summary May/June 2020

In our autumn eNews, we referenced our work in Robinvale (with Robinvale District Health Service) as part of the Victorian Government’s testing blitz. Please see here for a summary.

The Flying Doctor continues to be on the front line of the COVID-19 response. In Victoria, part of this has meant working with the State Government to help with testing in rural and remote communities. One of these communities is the township of Robinvale, in north-western Victoria.

In response to a request from the Department of Health and Human Services and in partnership with Robinvale District Health Service, RFDS Victoria:

- Tested 380 community members between 4-12th May 2020. These community members comprised of agricultural workers (grape farm, almond farm & pistachio farm workers), essential workers (including paramedics & police), vulnerable community members and aged care residents.

All results came back negative.

We continue to support Robinvale District Health Service with their testing of symptomatic people onsite on a day-to-day basis, with an average of 20 tests conducted per week.
